At 30 I was most happy and contented. I lived in super part of the city; owned my own car; had a rewarding, well-paying job, along with a loving, supportive family and good friends.

I decided about a year earlier to quit trying to find that “special someone.” Too much effort for too little return.

Then, some friends introduced me to their long-time friend at a casual New Year’s Eve gathering. That was in 1980. We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary two weeks ago.

Sometimes things happen even when you’re not trying.

Holy shnikes! I haven’t bought Glamour since the beginning of the year!!! There was a cover with Mylie Cyrus a month or two back….and I just walked past the newsstand muttering “what the fuck is goin’ on??! As if!” like some disgruntled, pms-ing middle aged woman! A gal with a belly showing when she SITS!!!??This is practically scandelous! Real life? Without Photoshop shaving off a good 20 lbs? I’m in shock. Pleasantly so. This Lizzie girl is gorgeous!

Well done. Jessica Simpson looks like a gremlin thanks to the photoshopping and Lizzie, while she has a pooch, is in fantastic shape. Glamour is looking for a pat on the back for publishing this photo. Stop photoshopping the shite out of all the photos you publish and then I might start buying your magazine again.
